Role summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Business Relationship Manager (BRM) to join our Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for serving as a liaison between the Finance and Tax business teams and our technology team. Your primary goal will be to ensure that the technological needs of Finance and Tax are understood and met. You will support these teams in defining their technology requirements, advocating for their needs, and assisting in building their technology budgets and plans.
- Strategic Technology Alignment: Collaborate with Finance and Tax leadership to define and implement technology strategies that directly support business objectives. This includes conducting thorough needs assessments, translating business requirements into technical specifications, and contributing to the development and justification of technology budgets.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the Finance and Tax teams. Proactively identify and address potential challenges, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution. This includes facilitating regular meetings and workshops to gather requirements and ensure alignment.
- Project Management & Delivery: Oversee the successful delivery of technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet defined performance metrics. This involves managing project timelines, resources, and risks, and providing regular progress updates to stakeholders. Experience with Agile methodologies is highly desirable.

What you bring in:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in business relationship management or IT consulting within a professional services environment, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex technology projects and delivering value to business stakeholders.
Demonstrated expertise in:
- Requirements gathering and analysis using various techniques
- Stakeholder management and communication (including experience presenting to senior leadership)
- Project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
- Financial planning and budgeting processes
- Understanding of audit methodologies and regulatory requirements (a significant plus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into easily understandable business terms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive, customer-focused approach.
