Role summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Business Relationship Manager (BRM) to join our Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for serving as a liaison between the Advisory business teams and our technology team. Your primary goal will be to ensure that the technological needs of Advisory are understood and met. You will support these teams in defining their technology requirements, advocating for their needs, and assisting in building their technology budgets and plans.

Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with Advisory business leaders to define technology roadmaps and strategic plans, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. This includes conducting regular needs assessments, translating business requirements into technical specifications, and contributing to technology budget development and justification.

Relationship Management: Serve as the primary liaison between the Advisory and Technology teams, fostering strong working relationships and facilitating effective communication. This involves proactively identifying and addressing potential challenges, escalating issues as needed, and ensuring consistent and transparent communication.

Project Management & Delivery: Oversee the successful delivery of technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet defined performance metrics. This includes managing project timelines, resources, and risks, and providing regular progress updates to stakeholders.

What you bring in:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in business relationship management within a professional services environment, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex technology projects and delivering value to business stakeholders. Experience in IT consulting is a plus.

Demonstrated expertise in:

  • Requirements gathering and analysis
  • Stakeholder management and communication (including experience presenting to senior leadership)
  • Project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
  • Financial planning and budgeting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into easily understandable business terms.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach, with a commitment to exceeding expectations.
