KPMG IT Service OOD is an IT service provider with a mission to digitalize the core business of KPMG IT Service GmbH and KPMG AG in Germany and their clients across the globe. We employ around 200 people in Sofia and deliver the full spectrum of IT services to our clients, including Software Engineering, Application & Platform Operations, Infrastructure and Cloud, Digital Process Compliance.
The role:
As a ServiceNow Solution Architect operating across the enterprise within the capability team, you will be responsible for scoping, design, development and implementation activities across client projects to deliver world class ServiceNow based solutions. You will analyze new business requirements and their correct technical implementation solutions using industry best practices. You will work closely with client stakeholders, delivery leads, business analysts, developers and testers to guide the design through to implementation and beyond whilst ensuring KPMG risk and quality standards are adhered to.
As a ServiceNow Solution Architect, you will:
· Lead the technical design and delivery of ServiceNow solution components across relevant platform modules, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices.
· Review and validate solution designs, customizations, integrations, and configurations to ensure compliance with architectural standards and platform governance.
· Ensure platform performance, reliability, maintainability, and upgrade readiness through regular health checks and architectural oversight. Support the ServiceNow presales opportunity lifecycle
· Facilitate workshops and design sessions to demonstrate ServiceNow capabilities, gather detailed requirements, and define solution approaches with stakeholders.
· Assess existing workflows, business processes, and integrations to identify areas for improvement, automation, and process efficiency.
· Translate complex technical requirements into clear architectural documentation, ensuring alignment with both business and IT objectives.
· Define how the ServiceNow platform fits within the wider enterprise architecture, ensuring consistency with integration patterns, data models, security standards, and architectural guidelines.
· Collaborate with enterprise architects and cross‑functional teams to ensure solution interoperability and adherence to governance frameworks.
· Contribute to the development and continuous evolution of the organization’s ServiceNow product roadmap, considering new capabilities, release features, and business demand.
· Stay up to date with ServiceNow releases, emerging technologies, and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and applicability.
· Establish and maintain architectural guardrails and standards to minimize technical debt and ensure consistent design quality.
· Ensure the use of out‑of‑the‑box (OOB) capabilities to reduce unnecessary customizations and promote long‑term platform sustainability.
· Ensure compliance with IT security, data protection, and regulatory requirements.
· Contribute to the development of KPMG’s ServiceNow based product roadmap
· Operate as an active member of the broader organizational and ServiceNow community, sharing technical knowledge and collaborating across teams.
· Build strong cross‑functional relationships with stakeholders across business units.
· Provide guidance and technical leadership to developers, administrators, and implementation partners.
· Support internal capability‑building activities through mentoring, documentation, and training initiatives.
· Operate as a member of the wider KPMG community, sharing knowledge across functions and building your personal network within the firm
What you bring in:
· Experience and a strong track record of delivering technology projects on the ServiceNow platform as a Solution Architect
· Certified in various ServiceNow modules (ITSM, CAD, HRSD, PA, etc..)
· Certified Technical Architect (CTA ServiceNow) – good to have
· Expertise in scripting on the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript, CSS and Angular JS: Flows, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, Widgets and UI Pages
· Understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions including: Integration Hub, SSO, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, etc.
· Experience with agile and traditional software and project management methodologies
· Passionate about areas of expertise, managing your own development by learning continuously from experience and seeking out development opportunities
