KPMG IT Service OOD is an IT service provider with a mission to digitalize the core business of KPMG IT Service GmbH and KPMG AG in Germany and their clients across the globe. We employ around 200 people in Sofia and deliver the full spectrum of IT services to our clients, including Software Engineering, Application & Platform Operations, Infrastructure and Cloud, and Digital Process Compliance.
Our Applications Unit is securing the stable operation, application support and ongoing development of approximately 300 applications for KPMG Germany.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager (German Speaking) to drive complex software and technology initiatives from idea through implementation.
In this role, you will combine strong project management and coordination skills with an understanding of Agile delivery and service management. You will work across teams and stakeholders, translate business needs into actionable solutions, navigate internal governance processes, and ensure that projects are delivered with the right level of quality, transparency, and control.

As a Senior Project Manager, your focus will be to:
- Lead projects and demands from initial idea through planning, execution, and implementation
- Manage project timelines, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and priorities
- Analyze business needs and translate them into practical and achievable solutions
- Act as a central coordination point between project teams, business stakeholders, leadership, and external contributors
- Facilitate workshops and meetings, align stakeholders, and drive decisions and next steps
- Navigate internal governance, approval, documentation, and reporting processes
- Work with ServiceNow-based demand and project management processes
- Coordinate cross-functional and Agile teams to resolve bottlenecks and maintain delivery momentum
- Identify, track, and proactively manage project risks, issues, and impediments
- Coordinate resources and budgets to support successful project delivery
- Support release coordination within Agile and DevOps environments
- Ensure effective service delivery by monitoring processes, resources, and relevant performance indicators
- Collaborate with Change Management teams to ensure changes are coordinated and properly documented
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve project and service delivery processes
- Use AI tools to streamline ways of working, increase efficiency, and improve outcomes
- Ensure project activities and documentation comply with relevant organizational processes and requirements
What you bring:
- University degree in IT, Business, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with direct involvement in software project delivery and coordination
- Proven experience in project management, service delivery, and process improvement
- Solid understanding of both traditional and Agile project management methodologies
- Experience working with scaled Agile frameworks such as SAFe or LeSS
- Familiarity with additional Agile methodologies and practices such as Kanban, XP, Crystal, or DSDM is an advantage
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and multiple interconnected workstreams
- Experience building and/or managing software development teams
- Hands-on experience with Agile project management tools, particularly Azure DevOps, including reporting and progress tracking
- Experience supporting or coordinating software releases within Agile and/or DevOps environments
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, combined with a structured and proactive approach
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and evolving environment
- A high level of personal accountability, integrity, and responsibility
- Fluent English and German, both written and spoken
Considered a strong advantage:
- PMP or a comparable project management certification
- Project management experience involving Microsoft Azure and/or ServiceNow
- Product knowledge or hands-on experience with Azure and/or ServiceNow
