KPMG IT Service OOD is an IT service provider with a mission to digitalize the core business of KPMG IT Service GmbH and KPMG AG in Germany and their clients across the globe. We employ around 200 people in Sofia and deliver the full spectrum of IT services to our clients, including Software Engineering, Application & Platform Operations, Infrastructure and Cloud, and Digital Process Compliance.
Our Applications Unit is securing the stable operation, application support and ongoing development of approximately 300 applications for KPMG Germany.
As a Senior Product Owner, you will be responsible for eliciting requirements, by applying business knowledge and the appropriate techniques necessary to draw out requirements for software development and IT infrastructure projects in an agile environment. We are looking for someone with expertise in the classical project management approaches and proven experience in gathering requirements, drafting RfI and RfP-s for IT infrastructure projects.
As a Senior Product Owner your focus will be to:
- Lead the effort in maximizing the value delivered by the product through effective backlog management and prioritization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and align the product roadmap accordingly.
- Translate the product vision into a well-defined and prioritized backlog of features and tasks. Develop and maintain a clear and achievable product roadmap that aligns with customer expectations, business goals and company strategy. Collaborate with program managers to ensure the roadmap is aligned with the expectations in terms of functionality, budget, and timeline.
- Translate the business needs to technical scope (Data Analysis and Data Mapping and E2E System Integration).
- Apply the MoSCoW principle to prioritize backlog items based on business value, effort and dependencies.
- Ensure the backlog is constantly refined, groomed, and transparent to the Scrum Team and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with end users and stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems.
- Organize and synthesize information to enable the project team to implement a solution that meets requirements and respects constraints.
- Determine the appropriate activities, tools, and techniques necessary to complete assignment.
- Effectively interface with others and develop healthy, productive work interactions and maintain close cooperation with teams from different technical departments in different locations.
What you bring in:
- Professional experience, relevant to the responsibilities outlined above, represented through at least 5 years of experience in a Product Owner role.
- Strong ability to understand and communicate complex technical systems and concepts.
- Knowledge of the globally recognized foundational standards of business analysis and product ownership maintained by any of the following organizations: IIBA, PMI, Scrum.org, Scrum Alliance.
- Hands-on experience modelling and diagraming tools, e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect, Aris, MS Visio.
- Experience with collaboration tools e.g. Mural, Miro, etc.
- Knowledge and experience in agile frameworks such as Scrum and/or SAFe.
- Experience in maintaining effective communication with domain and implementation subject matter experts at different company levels and locations.
- Practice using backlog management systems (Azure DevOps, Jira).
- Proficiency with MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint, is essential.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills. Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills. Assertiveness and a high sense of responsibility.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to travel abroad on short term business trips to Germany (not a frequent practice, but could be needed on occasion).
- University degree (Bachelor or Master) in IT or business-related discipline.
