You’ll be enabling KDN accelerate new ways of working, using cutting-edge technology and working together with our member firms located in nearly 150 countries to help us achieve our ambition to be the most trusted and trustworthy professional services firm.

The Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for designing and implementing data architecture solutions that consolidate disparate data sources from multiple member firms. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure that data solutions are aligned with business objectives and technical requirements. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in data architecture and leadership roles, demonstrating strong technical and project management skills.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of data architecture solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and technical standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
  • Oversee the data architecture lifecycle, including planning, modeling, integration, and deployment.
  • Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of data solutions through effective architecture and design.
  • Coordinate with IT and business teams to integrate data solutions with existing systems and processes.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements and innovations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data architecture processes, standards, and best practices.

Consolidation of Disparate Data Sources:

  • Evaluate and integrate disparate data sources from multiple companies into a unified data architecture.
  • Develop a comprehensive data consolidation strategy that addresses data quality, consistency, and governance.
  • Develop a proposed data architecture strategy outlining the short-term and long-term technology stack, development frameworks, and standards that integrate with the overall enterprise architecture.
  • Ensure that data solutions integrate seamlessly with existing systems and support scalability and security.
  • Produce detailed architecture and design documents for planned data solutions.

Integration Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement integration solutions that connect various data sources and systems within the organization.
  • Develop and maintain integration frameworks and standards to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to ensure seamless integration of new applications with existing systems.
  • Monitor and optimize integration processes to ensure efficient data flow and minimal latency.

What you bring in:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • A substantial amount of experience in data architecture and leadership roles.
  • Strong technical skills in data architecture, including proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data integration.
  • Experience with data architecture design patterns and best practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Data technologies and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with big data technologies and frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
  • Familiarity with database management systems.
