KPMG IT Service OOD is an IT service provider with a mission to digitalize the core business of KPMG IT Service GmbH and KPMG AG in Germany and their clients across the globe. We employ around 200 people in Sofia and deliver the full spectrum of IT services to our clients, including Software Engineering, Application & Platform Operations, Infrastructure and Cloud, and Digital Process Compliance.
Our Applications Unit is responsible for the stable operation, application support and ongoing development of approximately 300 applications for KPMG Germany.
As a Data Analyst your focus will be on:
- Execution of data-driven analysis procedures as part of the annual financial statement audit of energy sector clients.
- Operation and application of a proprietary Data Analytics solution to process client data (e.g., SAP IS-U / FI-CA extracts) and to deliver audit-relevant insights
- Execution of SQL-based analysis routines, plausibility checks, and reconciliations to support audit evidence
- Preparation of reports, dashboards, and working papers to make analysis results transparent and usable for the audit team
- Active participation in a dynamic team in the further development of our Data Analytics solution for the energy sector, including the refinement of SQL-based data analysis routines
- Execution, further development, and debugging of our self-developed Java-based ETL application
- Close collaboration with auditors, audit managers, and various stakeholders to interpret results, address engagement-specific requirements, and identify improvements in data analysis
What you bring in:
- A degree in Computer Science, Informatcs or similar relevant educational background.
- 2+ years of experience in SQL for development and execution of data analysis routines.
- Knowledge and experience with Java.
- Experience with (open source) database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MonetDB).
- Knowledge in data modeling and visualization.
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., QlikSense, Power BI).
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent command of the English language. German is an advantage, but not a requirement.
