KPMG IT Service OOD is an IT service provider with a mission to digitalize the core business of the KPMG network member firms and their clients. We employ more than 400 people in Sofia and deliver the full spectrum of IT services to our clients, including SAP solutions, Software Engineering, Application & Platform Operations, Cloud and Infrastructure.
Our Modern Workplace Department is focused on SaaS and PaaS services. Currently we are expanding the services we provide to KPMG in Germany. These team will administer industry standard as well as niche software providing service to more than 30 000 users. As part of the Cloud Application operations team, you will be working in an ecosystem within our Cloud Unit with more than 150+ professionals focused on operations, projects, and consulting.
As an Azure PaaS Application Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of applications hosted on the Azure platform. Your role involves ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of applications, collaborating with teams to facilitate integration, and managing compliance and escalations related to supported services. You will be part of the implementation of Operations processes regarding cloud applications.
Your responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot incidents related to PaaS Services and its integration with other business solutions
- Monitor the health and performance of applications hosted on the Azure platform, identify, and address issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure optimal user experience
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration between PaaS services and other systems
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with data protection regulations
- Responsible for deployment and installation of applications on the Azure platform subscriptions, ensuring they are set up correctly and optimized for performance
- Responsible for the Application Lifecycle Management - create and maintain necessary documentation (Operation Manual, ITSM process related, etc.) related to application configuration, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides
- Responsible for the administrative support of the application - ITS focal for AG (responsible for change, ITSM processes, etc.)
- Lead the onboarding process for new team members, ensure a smooth integration into Azure platform services
- Plan, test and execute changes within the application landscape, following the Change Management process
- Analyze root causes behind incidents and provide permanent solutions
What you bring in:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- At least 2 years of professional experience as a system or application administrator/technical support engineer/ 2nd level technical support
- Basic knowledge of ITIL framework is advantage
- Ability to create operations manuals and instructions
- Ability to solve incidents and perform troubleshooting with minimal supervision
- Very good communication and organization skills
- Very good written and spoken German and English
- Readiness for limited business travel for workshops, trainings, etc.
